Adrienne Tessier joined Dionne Schulze in 2022 as a law student, then as an articling student, and then as a lawyer in December 2024. She is involved in files relating to civil litigation, class actions, and governance, not only for First Nations and Indigenous governments but also for non-profit organizations.

Extended Bio

Adrienne received her BA (Hons.) from the University of Winnipeg in 2017, where she served as a student representative on the university Senate for two years. She then interned at the Manitoba Legislature before moving to Montreal to attend McGill University. While in law school, she once again served as a student senator for two years, while also working with the student association as an advocate for student’s rights. She also volunteered with the Legal Information Clinic at McGill, providing legal information to the public on a variety of civil matters. Throughout her time in undergrad and law school, she was involved in the Youth Parliament of Manitoba, holding a variety of roles, including Chairperson (2017-2018). Finally, Adrienne obtained her LLM from the University of Saskatchewan in 2024, where her research focussed on the use of international customary law in Canadian jurisprudence to advance Indigenous rights.
