Vanessa Lafaille

Senior Legal Assistant

514-842-0748

Vanessa Lafaille joined Dionne Schulze in 2009 as a legal assistant. She completed her D.E.C. in the Paralegal program at Collège Ahuntsic in 2008.

In 2008, she completed her college internship at the Commission de reconnaissance des associations d’artistes et des associations de producteurs du Québec (CRAAAP), which was responsible for enforcing the Act respecting the professional status and conditions of engagement of stage, recording, and film artists (R.S.Q. c. S-32.1). During her internship, Vanessa contributed to drafting the annotated version of this Act (now the Act respecting the professional status of artists in the visual arts, film, recording, literature, crafts, and the performing arts, R.S.Q. c. S-32.1) and helped develop an archiving plan. It should be noted that CRAAAP no longer exists; in 2014, it was integrated into the Commission des relations du travail (CRT), which now reports to the Tribunal administratif du travail. After her time at CRAAAP, Vanessa worked as an agent at the Commission des lésions professionnelles (CLP, now part of the Tribunal administratif du travail) before joining Dionne Schulze.

Vanessa’s responsibilities include answering phone calls, general office organization, client billing, and providing support to lawyers on certain cases. She serves as the first point of contact for anyone reaching out to the firm for legal services.
